I tried holding down c and it came up with the message I'd seen before stating that I needed to restart the computer holding down the power button except now it had lots of random printing over it. Upper most message being - panic (cpu0): unable to find driver for this platfomr: Power Mac 1,1'.
Dear Mac Support,
For some reason my computer just show an icon with flashing questionmark:
What I have done:
1- I did Insert the Install Disk and restart my computer with holding down the C key.
2- Choose Installer>Open Disk Utility
3- Click Fierst Aid
4- Select Hard Drive icon
5- Click Verify button
6- After this prossec, I did Click Repair button
When this prossecc finished, I did not know what to do next.
(There was not any explaination under the 'info apple')
So I did quit and restart my computer but the computer automaticly did reboot with CD disk. I tried to eject the Install CD by holding down the mouse or press eject key but it did not work. So I did all these proccess again and then press continue button and follow all Install proccess from CD and in the end after my computer restart a strange massage came up:
Panic (cpu 0 ) : Unable to find driver for this platform: ' Power Mac 3,5'.
backtrace: 0x0008bc
0000000 (lots of number).........
...............
No debugger configured-dumping debug information.
version string: Darwin kernel version 1.3.7:
.................
Panic: we are hanging here...
I hope this explenation does make sence.
Thanks a lot for your support

I've owned this computer for over 3 years with 0 issues, and just recently received:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x563ebd): 'Unable to find driver for this platform: 'ACPI'.n'@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1504.15.3/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1387
The computer will not boot, gives me the startup tone, then the apple, then this stack trace and error message on a gray screen.
I reformatted the drive, did a clean install of Snow Leopard (without the original install disk, as I didn't have one handy at the time). The computer worked rock solid for about a week then gave me the exact same error message.
It seems to me like a hardware issue, and I have noticed the headphone jack acting up here and there, cutting out when plugged in, removing volume control until fiddled with.. but unless something is electrically shorting out, it shouldn't cause anything of this nature right? I did remove an EFI program called rEFIt recently, though I did so on 2 machines running the same backup image and the other one (early 2011 mbp) has no issues at all so far. (fingers crossed)
Does anyone have an insight as to what this specific error message indicates? Thanks in advance!
Is this a good question?
